Simon's Update
It’s been another busy and exciting week in school!
Our Reception children have been taking part in balance bike training and have grown in confidence each day – it’s been wonderful to see their smiles as they whizz around the playground. In Year 6, the art workshops with Alix have been truly fantastic, exploring the theme of art and activism and helping the children to see how creativity can be used to make a difference in the world.
Sport is also well underway this term, with our Year 5/6 football teams playing their first fixtures. A special mention to the girls’ team, who won two games and lost one – a brilliant start to the season. There will be more to come from all our football teams over the coming weeks.
Year 5 have also taken part in a Money Matters workshop, where they have been learning about financial education and how to make sensible choices with money – such an important life skill. And finally, Year 2 enjoyed a visit from an author this week; the children were inspired by the story time and were thrilled that each of them received their very own book to take home.
Well done to all the children and staff involved in making these opportunities happen.
