Simon's Update
Dear Brookfield families,
We’ve had a cracking final week at Brookfield with some lovely moments that made me so proud of our little school!
Year 6 Pupil Leadership
Our Year 6 children applied for their leadership roles this week. They wrote thoughtful applications, came to interviews dressed smartly, and answered questions with such sweetness, sincerity and maturity—especially about how they can support younger pupils. They are an absolute credit to the school. Well done, Year 6!
Year 1 Drumming Extravaganza
Year 1 enjoyed a drumming workshop with Tanya and it was a brilliant delight! Music matters, and we love being able to offer extra musical experiences as children journey through Brookfield.
School Improvements
While the children are away, we’re taking the opportunity to finish some of our net zero work, with air filtration systems being installed in classrooms; we’re also making adaptations to Reception with a brand-new cloakroom, and Bramble Class (Year 4) is one of our first classes to get some exciting updates as part of a new project. I’ll be organising a building tour for parents next half term for anyone interested in how spaces like the refurbished library, new art space and rest of school is developing—details TBC.
Finally, a huge well done to Albie, Willow, Aurora, Nelson, Millie and Tevell for smashing the Headteacher’s Challenge in Friday’s assembly and earning the one-of-a-kind gold sticker!
Wishing everyone a restful half term - see you at school on Monday 3rd November.

https://www.brookfield.camden.sch.uk/Parents/Brookfield-School-Community-Events/
As always, events such as the disco are only made possible because of our community coming together and our amazing volunteers stepping up to help in any way they can on the day of the event itself. If you are able to help out, please get in touch with your class rep or put your name down in our shared spreadsheet where you can see what help is needed at what time:
Also could we kindly ask that you save any of your Halloween decorations and bring them to school after half term (you can leave them at Reception) so that we can reuse them to decorate the disco hall.
