The School Day
The school opening hours are between 8am and 6pm. This includes our breakfast and after school club provision.
Start of the day
School starts at 8.50am for all children Catkin Nursery to Year 6. Please be on time to ensure a prompt start to the day.

The gates close at 9am. If your child arrives after this time, they will need to come in via the office.
Please note, our 3 -4 year old Nursery is part time 8.50 am – 12.00 pm, full time 8.50 am – 3.20 pm. If collecting at 12pm, please come to the school office (main entrance on Chester Road)
Lunch Time
Nursery children eat lunch in the Nursery at 12.00. Infant Classes have their lunch break from 12pm – 1pm, and eat in the hall. Playtimes are 15 minutes, mid-morning and mid-afternoon. Years 3 and 4 have their lunch break from 11.45 – 12.45 pm, and Year 5 & 6 from 12.30 – 1.30 pm, and eat in the hall. Playtimes are 15 minutes mid-morning.
End of the day
School ends at 3.20pm for children in Catkin nursery – Year 6. Children are brought down to the playground by their teachers. The school does not allow Nursery or Reception children to be collected by older children of primary school age. Children who are not collected on time will be taken to wait by the office (entrance to main office is on Chester Road).
